Closet Gorilla is inspired by the deep connection between fashion, and the natural world.
The name reflects an African gorilla in its jungle home, to duplicate how fashion draws from our living environment; and much like a gorilla protects its home , Fashion should also reflect the same, by protecting the earth through ethical, and sustainable cloth making techniques.
The Gorilla symbol represents the principles that this brand is founded upon, of using tough, long-lasting stitching, and sourcing durable fabrics in order to last the customer countless cycles of wash, and wear.
Our designs hold a commitment to protecting the environment by using at least 50% upcycled and recycled materials, with a bold re-imagination of Kenyan fashion.
